Bowlesburg Elementary has a new and exciting addition for the 2016-2017 school year. Throughout the summer we had excavators, dump trucks, rollers and numerous other equipment take over the field at Bowlesburg Elementary. The invasion of trucks worked together to create a walking track for Bowlesburg students, staff, and our community.
Before he came to East Moline, Mr. Hawley was the 9th grade Academy Coordinator at Rock Island High School and also taught Spanish. Mr. Hawley’s brother is also a middle school principal in the Quad Cities. Monitoring can happen in other areas: compliance and engagement. Compliance means that students are doing what we asked of them. A student may follow all of a teacher’s directions and may look like they’re learning, but there is no proof. It’s hard to see into the head of a child. Monitoring can also happen in the area of engagement.
