Junior Achievement at Bowlesburg

February 22, 2017

Junior Achievement is a community partner dedicated to giving Bowlesburg students the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their future and make smart academic and fiscal choices.   Click here to learn more about JA programs and how you can get involved.

What we teach:
Work-Readiness, Financial Literacy, Entrepreneurship

Our hands-on programs prepare students to:
- Proactively manage their finances
- Be entrepreneurial
- Develop career-readiness skills that will be recognized and valuable in a global workforce

A unique component to the success of JA is our partnership with community volunteers who teach our K-12 curriculum while sharing their own personal experiences with the students.  As a result, students connect classroom learning to real-world issues and understand the value of their education.

Volunteering for JA is a great way to get involved with your school!  Our volunteers tell us that volunteering is easy.  You receive training and all the materials you need to be successful in the classroom.  Visit typically last less than an hour, and involve five to seven visits.  To volunteer visit http://jaheartland.org/what-you-can-do/volunteer-if-i-can-you-can/.  You can also call our office at 309-277-3916 or send us an email to [email protected].
