East Moline Public Library - Book Buddies

Book Buddies is a book club for tweens in grades 4-8 and their reading buddies - parent, older sibling, etc. They can read the same book together and have a fun discussion at the East Moline Public Library on Monday, April 21st at 4:30pm.

Immigration Coalition of the Quad Cities

Immigrant and Refugee Poetry, Essay, and Visual Arts Contest

The Immigration Coalition of the Quad Cities is accepting entries for the “Immigrants are Our Neighbors” contest. The contest is open to Quad City area students in grades K-12. The deadline for entries is March 24th. Entries should tell a story about the experience of being an immigrant or refugee. Cash prizes will be awarded to first, second, and third place for overall submissions. Submissions will be displayed at the annual Quad Cities World Cultures Festival being held on March 30th from 1:00 to 4:00 pm in the Rogalski Center ballroom on the campus of St. Ambrose University in Davenport.
