The East Moline School District is proud to announce that Alex Mayszak, our Director of Digital Learning & Innovation, has been honored as the Illinois Digital Educators Alliance (IDEA) Tech Leader Educator of the Year.
The IDEA Educator of the Year award honors individuals who have made outstanding contributions integrating technology in education. Alex has been a true leader in this area, working tirelessly to build the capacity of our educators and igniting passions in learning for our students by integrating technology into his lessons.
Alex has been instrumental in implementing a number of innovative programs and initiatives in the East Moline School District. Alex has worked to bring asynchronous learning using technology or programs for our educators, 3D printing and design thinking for our students, Parent University for our families, has worked to help our educators harness the power of using AI, and many other things including demonstrating how to make pizza for our kindergarten students!
We are extremely proud of Alex's accomplishments and the recognition he has received from IDEA. He is a true asset to our district and we are grateful for his dedication to our students and staff.
