Junior Achievement is looking for volunteers to deliver JA programs to Bowlesburg students during the Spring 2024 semester. Current open programs include three 1st grade classrooms for the JA Our Families program, and one Kindergarten classroom for the JA Ourselves program. Volunteering is fun and easy! Most programs are 5 lessons of 30-45 minutes each, and JA provides all of the lesson plans and materials. All of the East Moline elementary schools and the Early Learning Center will be celebrating Picture Book Month by having a Storybook Character Day on Friday, November 17th!
Think of a character from a storybook you have read and loved! Then, come to school on Friday, November 17th dressed as this character. If you have a book the character is in, bring it to share with your class. Be creative and have fun coming up with a character to become! Make sure your attire and any props are school-appropriate!

The East Moline Library has a fun painting program coming up at the library for kids in grades 4-8. Spots are limited but this is a free program. All supplies will be provided. Kids will have the chance to do glow painting on a canvas.
