I am excited to share some wonderful news about one of our students, Travis Kinkead, who recently placed third at the IESA State Championship in wrestling!
Travis’s journey to this remarkable achievement has been nothing short of impressive. He finished the regular season with an outstanding 12-1 record and went on to place second at the Regional competition. Last weekend, he made history by pinning every opponent he faced, becoming the first Glenview Gator to win a Sectional title. Notably, he is only the third student from our school to advance to the state meet.
At the IESA State Championship, Travis faced tough competition, and although he ultimately lost to the eventual state champion, he finished his season with a commendable record of 25-3. Remarkably, all his losses this season were to the top two wrestlers in the state.
