Green room friends had so much fun at their field trip to Youth Hope last week! Students enjoyed a read aloud, rock climbing, jumping in a bouncy house, playing sports and every student got to pick a book to go home with them! Just look at those smiles! #GrowingThroughPlay

This week, we celebrated our incredible bus drivers and monitors on Bus Driver Appreciation Day! They are the first smiling faces our youngest learners see each morning, providing a safe, loving, and caring start to every school day at ELC. Ms. Linnenburger is our April Employee of the Month from the Rock Island Regional Office of Education! As a veteran educator, Ms. Linnenburger’s strength lies in the routines and genuine connections she establishes with her students and families on a daily basis. She has a clear understanding of developmentally appropriate practices, ensuring her classroom remains a balanced environment for our youngest learners.
What sets her apart is the perspective she has gained from teaching Kindergarten before returning to Early Childhood. This experience allows her to prepare students for the start to their elementary school journey while respecting their current developmental needs as a hands-on learner.
