Let’s blow our Book Blast out of the water! We have only a few days left so now is the time to act. If you would still like to contribute to the event, please do so through the invitation from your favorite student or make a school-wide contribution: https://bit.ly/StudentsAtWellsElem. You have until Sunday night at midnight to contribute. We have raised $9,884.00!!!
Thank you to everyone in our community and beyond that has contributed to our Book Blast Event! Your support has helped every student to go home with at least one new, exciting book to read, and some students will earn up to 10.
With a focus on the promotion of literacy and reading, a new book is like gold to be treasured!

We are sad to share news about the unfortunate passing of one of our very own Wells Elementary Staff on Sunday. Jill Pisman, 3rd grade teacher, passed away unexpectedly. Ms. Pisman loved her students and teaching more than anything. Ms. Pisman's motto was, "Love, kindness, and respect". As a school family at Wells, we promise to carry on her legacy. To honor Ms. Pisman, our staff dressed in black and gold today to cheer on her favorite team, the Iowa Hawkeyes. Jill, you will be missed! Thank you for serving our kids!

The Book Blast is going strong as we approach these last few days of the event. The student with the highest dollar amount of contributions from each grade level will be awarded a $100 Book Blast shopping spree. On top of that, the student with the highest dollar amount of contributions in the school will be awarded an additional $100 shopping spree. So, one student winner will be going home with a total of a $200 Book Blast shopping spree!
Congratulations to Nevaeh for winning our final treasure box chest!
