-Latinx Workshop invites 7th & 8th graders who are looking for a positive circle of hermanas to join our next meeting on Wednesday! We center the Latina voice, culture, and hidden history. Pick up a registration paper in the front office today.

Fall Parent/Teacher Conferences are just around the corner at GMS.
Need to see your student's Band, Math, and Social Studies teacher... you are in luck!
This year GMS is trying a new system and families will have the opportunity to schedule and select individual times and individual teachers to meet with during the scheduled conference hours.
Using your Skyward Parent Portal (directions linked below) you will be able to log-in beginning Wednesday, October 30 - Wednesday, November 6 and select convenient conferencing times for your family. Please note: First to sign-up will get the best times and once a time is taken for an individual teacher that time is not available any longer.
Conference times are 10 minutes per session / per teacher. If you feel you would need longer or would like to meet with a Team of teachers, please reach out to them directly through email to make accommodations.

-Soccer club is canceled for today.
-Thank you to the Latinx Workshop members who took part in Saturday's Dia de los Muertos parade. You all looked fabulous! Dresses and crinolines borrowed from Mercado must be returned no later than this Friday. Please make plans to drop off dresses to Mrs. Mojica during parent/teacher conferences this Thursday evening or Friday morning. She will be located in the south cafeteria.
-Attention staff & students: today is the last day of the hunger drive. Turn in your cans to your 1st period teacher by the end of the day. The 1st period with the most cans wins a pizza party!

-Girls who will walk in quinceañera dresses in this Saturday's Dia de Los Muertos parade must email their names to Mrs. Mojica as soon as possible. This will allow the girls on the list to receive FREE Catrina face painting before the parade.
-Do you like candy and having fun? You are invited to attend the Dia de los Muertos Parade on Saturday at 2pm in Moline. The parade starts in the Vibrant Arena parking lot and goes on River Drive to 19th Street. Mariachi students will be at school at 10:30am to have their faces painted, eat lunch and decorate the trailer. They would love to see you at the parade at 2pm on Saturday in Moline.

-Latinx Workshop invites 7th & 8th grade girls to walk in the Dia de Los Muertos parade this Saturday in Moline. There is still 1 beautiful quinceañera dress at school to be tried on. This beautiful cultural event is open to all 7th & 8th grade girls! Email Mrs. Mojica today if you're interested or for more information.
