2-27-23 Announcements -Congratulations to our wrestlers who competed in the Regional tournament this weekend: Alex Tapia placed first at 167lbs and won all of his matches by Pin! Marshawn King took 2nd place at 155lbs and Grant Engelkes placed 4th! Both Alex and Marshawn have qualified for next week's Sectional Tournament in Dekalb! Congratulations wrestlers on a fantastic season! -The GSA online spirit wear store will be open for orders until March 7th. Paper forms are available in Student Services and from Ms. P. She is the first African American woman to serve as commander. Today she will be visiting the Glenview 5th grade class. Symphonic band members should report to the band room at this time.

Master P displayed his full evolution from street hustler to music mogul to mouthpiece for social injustice. He rapped about the advancements of African-Americans in the country and the work that lies ahead.

Due to anticipated winter weather conditions, all after school activities at Glenview are being cancelled for this evening. This includes athletics, clubs, Lights on for Learning, and after school detention. Detentions scheduled for today will be served on Tuesday, February 21st, after school. This does not affect the YMCA after school child care.

Students who are picking up a movie basket are asked to show their name posted on our Google Classroom posting to their period 9 teacher and come to the library at 2:15 today. You must sign for the basket. -5th and 6th grade Chef’s Club is canceled for tonight but will reschedule for next Tuesday the 21st. -Yearbooks are now on sale! A customer sent his dish of french fries back to the kitchen, claiming that they weren’t good. In an irritated fit, Crum cut the potatoes as thinly as possible, fried them until they were burnt crisps, and threw a generous handful of salt on top. Thus, the chip was born.
