-Today is Veterans Day, and we want to thank all of our veterans for their service to our country. In particular we want to thank Mr. Carton and Ms. Beers, two of our staff members who have served our country's military. Thank you for your service!
-Congratulations to Mrs. DeGreve’s class for winning the hunger drive competition! Enjoy your upcoming pizza party!
-One By One members taking part in the field trip to see Black Panther 2 on Saturday are asked to check the One By One Google classroom for important changes to pick up location and times. Speak with Mrs. Mojica if you have any questions.
Latinx Workshop members who will take part in today's National Women's Conference are asked to meet Mrs. Mojica in room 111 today at 10:50. Lunch will be provided.

-Congratulations to the One By One members who won a $10 gift card for trying the welding simulator last week. Names are posted in the One By One Google Classroom. Please stop by the library after school to sign for your choice of card.
-Latinx Workshop will hold a meeting today after school in room 111. Stop by to help us plan our first event with Augustana Latina students. All Latinas in 7th and 8th grades are invited to join. See Mrs. Mojica for more information or pick up an application in student services.

REMINDER: EMSD will be back to school tomorrow, Wednesday, November 9th.
As a reminder, we have parent-teacher conferences this evening and tomorrow morning. Online sign-ups are now closed. Some teachers' time slots are completely full, but other still have times available. If you did not yet sign up for a conference time, you can walk in during conference hours and meet with any teachers who have available time slots.
Copies of report cards and fall MAP scores will be available at conferences.
Walk-In Times
Thursday Walk-In Times: 3:00 - 6:45 p.m.
Friday Walk-In Times: 7:30 - 11:00 a.m.
Conference locations will be as follows:
5th Grade - North Gym
6th Grade - South Cafeteria - you may enter from back of building
7th Grade - South Gym (upstairs)
8th Grade - East Gym (downstairs) - you may enter from back of building
As a reminder, there is no school on Friday for conferences, on Monday for teacher inservice, or on Tuesday for election day. School will resume Wednesday, November 9th.
If you haven't done so already, please take a moment to complete this survey regarding holiday parties/celebrations in the East Moline School District. This survey is open to all community members, with or without students in the district.

-Today is the last day for One By One members to turn in a permission slip for the field trip to see Blank Panther 2. Speak with or email Mrs. Newton if you have any questions.
-One By One invites all Glenview students to try the welding simulator in room 272 after completing a parent/teacher conference either today or tomorrow. John Deere welders will be on hand to share information with families on careers in the trades and classes that can be taken at UTHS in the welding field.
-One By One members and 7th grade Spanish bilingual students are reminded to bring their raffle tickets for a chance to win gift cards
