Dear Families,
This year in order to update and refresh student devices, we will be collecting Chromebooks from ALL students currently enrolled at Glenview Middle School.
We will begin collection on Monday, May 20th and will be collecting the device, charger and stylus during the school day. These devices will be cleaned, refreshed, repaired and stored for next year. Please be sure to send the device and any accessories (charger, stylus) to school starting the week of May 20th. Collection dates are as follows:
8th Grade May 20
7th Grade May 21
6th Grade May 22
5th Grade May 23
If your student is attending any of the programming hosted by EMSD over the summer, each program will have a set of devices that students will use during that program. If your student will not be in the district next year, please have him or her let the technician know during the check-in process.

Due to the forecast, today's Washington DC trip parent meeting has been rescheduled. The new date for the Washington DC trip parent meeting is Thursday, April 25th at 6pm in the Glenview library. Thank you for your patience!

-The first Multicultural Fest practice will be tomorrow during 9th period in the South Cafeteria. Please have your permission slips signed and ready! If you do not have a permission slip please find Ms. Martinez, Ms. Alba, or Mrs. Campbell for a copy.

-Art club meets today in room 102.
-Soccer Club meets today after school. Please report to your soccer coaches after the dismissal bell.
-Girls who are attending today's virtual viewing of the investiture of the 1st Black woman judge in the 14th Judicial Circuit should meet in the library at this time. The live feed began at 8:00am this morning.
-Lights ON resumes today. All students should report to their Lights ON classes after school today. The end of school is quickly approaching. Let’s finish strong!
EMSD's last day of school this year will be Wednesday, May 29th.

-Hey One By One & Latinx Workshop members....save the date! Our April meeting will take place on the 25th after school in the library. Join us for "Pizza with Professionals". Enjoy pizza with engineers, lawyers, nurses and more while learning about their careers and their university journeys. Don't miss out!
-Chef Club’s is cancelled for today.
-Tennis Club meets today after school. Please report to room 111 after the dismissal bell.
-Yearbook club meets today in room 302 until 3:45. We’ll be putting the finishing touches on our yearbook and sending it off for printing.
In-school physical forms are available for students to pick up in the nurse's office.

-7th and 8th grade girls going to the Moline Invitational Track Meet, please be at school tomorrow, Wednesday April 10th at 3:25 to ensure you get your track top.
-One By One and Latinx Workshop members attending the Illinois State University campus visit tomorrow are reminded to arrive at school between 6:30am and 6:45am. Dress for the weather and wear good walking shoes. Contact Mrs. Mojica if you have any questions.

Glenview students experienced the solar eclipse yesterday! Thank you to Rep Gregg Johnson and the Illinois Optometric Association, John Deere, Earth Works Landscaping, and the Hillcrest PTA who all sponsored the special glasses for our students so they could view the eclipse.
