-One By One and Latinx Workshop members are invited to Pizza with Professionals this Thursday in the library, 2:30pm-4pm. Enjoy pizza while speaking with area engineers, nurses, teachers, and lawyers and begin thinking about YOUR future career plans. Speak with Mrs. Mojica or Mrs. Newton if you have any questions.

-The Glenview Art and Poetry contest are both happening NOW! Please submit your original artwork to room 333 and original poem to your ELA teacher. Two winners will be selected from each grade level and will receive an award at Night of the Stars! The deadline for both is next Wednesday, May 1st
-Attention staff: Please check your classroom for any lunch trays and return them to the South Cafeteria as soon as possible. The cafeteria is low on trays. Thank you!

Letters are being mailed home to those students invited to Night of the Stars! Night of the Stars is an annual event at Glenview where we have previously honored students for their academic achievements throughout the school year. This tradition will continue for our 7th and 8th graders as they are still on a traditional grading scale.
However, with EMSD's transition to Standards Based Grading these nights will look a little bit different for our 5th and 6th grade students. Rather than giving awards solely based on traditional grades, our teachers have nominated students for various awards. Students in 5th and 6th grade who have been nominated for an award will receive a letter home inviting them to the evening. We look forward to seeing many of you at these special nights!
In-school physical forms are available for students to pick up in the nurse's office.

-Come cheer on the Glenview track team tonight at Soule Bowl. Events start at 5pm. Admission is $2 for adults and $1 for students and the concession stand will be open!

This week GMS will kick off ABCing our way to Summer with spirit days and fun activities for the next 26 days - this begins Tuesday, April 23.
This Saturday GMS will host our 3rd Annual Multicultural Family Day
from 11am - 2pm in the East Gym and Cafe. Cultural booths and information - Community organizations and agencies - Sample different foods from around the world - crafts - prizes - and FUN!

Yesterday's track meet at Moline has been rescheduled to this coming Monday April 22nd. Students will have their track pictures taken at Glenview before departing for the meet.

Track Meet this afternoon at Moline is cancelled. We are still having practice .
Due to the rain, the multi-club event for Bowleburg KKids, Hillcrest KKids, Ridgewood KKids, and Glenview Builders Club pet scavenger hunt, scheduled for today, April 18, and Saturday, April 20, will be rescheduled for Thursday, May 2, and Saturday, May 4.

Dear Families,
This year in order to update and refresh student devices, we will be collecting Chromebooks from ALL students currently enrolled at Glenview Middle School.
We will begin collection on Monday, May 20th and will be collecting the device, charger and stylus during the school day. These devices will be cleaned, refreshed, repaired and stored for next year. Please be sure to send the device and any accessories (charger, stylus) to school starting the week of May 20th. Collection dates are as follows:
8th Grade May 20
7th Grade May 21
6th Grade May 22
5th Grade May 23
If your student is attending any of the programming hosted by EMSD over the summer, each program will have a set of devices that students will use during that program. If your student will not be in the district next year, please have him or her let the technician know during the check-in process.
