12-8-23 Announcements -The 8th grade boys basketball team had a 55 to 38 win. Great job to the team for coming into a tough road game and being resilient! Shoutout to the whole team effort and mentality. Job’s not done yet, let’s keep being dogs! -The 7th grade basketball team came home with a win at John Deere, last night. That makes a 5 game winning streak! 12-6-23 Announcements -Soccer Club meets today after school. Please report to your coaches after the dismissal bell. -The 7th grade boys came out with Energy last night, resulting in a 20 point lead at the end of the 1st quarter and a 30 point lead by halftime! (nice work gentlemen!) Our focus moving forward is to be a student of the game, by understanding what is happening in the game and where to be, so we can eliminate our Mental mistakes. -After school Mariachi is canceled today. -5th grade Mariachi students need to bring Chromebooks to class. -Yearbook Club meets after school Thursday until 3:45. We will be looking at school portraits for the yearbook. See you there! -All 6th and 7th grade students should bring their chromebooks to PE today. -Builder’s Club is having a fundraiser on Thursday December 14th at Culver’s in Silvis from 5 to 8pm. 12-5-23 Announcements -Shoutout to the 8th grade team for winning a tight one 31-28 against Jordan. Shoutout to Mouhamed Diop for this terrific play. Tyler Flemming for his dominant presence, and Malal Sy for being a dog -After a neck-and-neck 1st half, the 7th grade team pulled away, outscoring Jordan 39 to 12 in the 2nd half. They even capped off the Win with a crazy 3-point buzzer-beater to end the game! We have 2 more games this week, both of which are away from home, Let's keep working to get better, Go Gators!!!! -Builder’s Club is having a fundraiser on Thursday, December 14th at Culver’s in Silvis from 5 to 8pm. Glenview Middle School and East Moline School District 37 were well represented at Quad Cities Saxophone Christmas today, Saturday December 2nd at Northpark Mall in Davenport. 8th grader Yari, 7th grader Dalen and 6th grader Rodney were among the 91 musicians who performed an 80 minute program of challenging holiday secular and sacred music.

12-1-23 Announcements -The 7th grade boys team had a solid all around game last evening. Offensively they were knocking down 3's and Defensively they held their opponent to only 4 points in the 2nd half!! Great Job! Halfway through the season the team has record of 5 wins and 2 losses. -If you are interested in potentially being chosen to participate in the virtual author visit with Kwame Alexander and Judy Blume on December 6th, please speak with your ELA teacher, or fill out the form on the library homepage. Not only will you get to hear the authors speak, but there will be a book give away at the end. If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Newton.
