-Builder’s Club meets this Thursday. We will be meeting at the Oasis in East Moline. Members will need to get on Bus #30 at dismissal to head to the Oasis. A bus will bring you back to Glenview at 4.
-One By One meets tomorrow after school in the library. Stop by to watch the last part of our movie and join in on the discussion about student loans. The concession stand will be stocked so be sure to bring your Chromebook! Speak with Mrs Mojica or Mrs. Newton if you have any questions.
-Latinx Workshop will meet next week on Wednesday, March 27th. Help us plan our end of year luncheon to celebrate our hermanas! Speak with Mrs. Mojica for more details.
-Yearbook club meets this Thursday in Room 302.
-Boys in grades 7-8 who are interested in the spring session of tennis should see Mr. Saint Fleur or Mrs. Campbell. The start date for tennis has been postponed until Thursday, March 28 due to the cooler weather this week.

-The 5th grade March Madness Lexia challenge has begun. After week 1, the blue team classes who are advancing are Mrs. Palmer's period 1,2, 3,4, and 8,9. The gold team classes who are advancing are Mrs. Crouch's 1,2, Mrs. Wells' 3,4 and Mrs. Wells 8,9. The competition is heating up. Who will advance to the next round? Stay tuned to find out.
-Track practice will start today after school. Students should meet in the East Gym downstairs. Please wear appropriate shoes and be ready to run!

Developmental screenings for children ages 3-5 years old.
Currently enrolled students in our program do not need to be screened.

An East Moline Public Library program...
East Moline Students ages 10-12 interested in robotics and coding are invited to come learn about these concepts through building LEGO projects!
*This is a 3-session program. Registration is required for the first session to be eligible for the following sessions.

3-8-24 Announcements
-Operation Dignity is taking place in the blue office conference room. This is for staff only. Please check your email for details.
-7th and 8th boys interested in the spring session of Tennis should register with Mr. Saint Fluer in room 111 or with Mrs. Campbell in the main office. Tennis will begin Thursday, March 21.
-Soccer club Spring session for 6th - 8th graders will begin Tuesday, March 18. Registered students should check their emails for more information.
-No Lights ON for Learning on Monday, March 18. We will resume Tuesday, March 19.
-7th and 8th grade students interested in track should plan on attending the first practice on Tuesday March 19th after school.
-UTHS is inviting 7th and 8th graders to their 1st Annual Spring Fling Volleyball Camp. This camp will run for 3 days on spring break. Stop by the front office for a flyer.

EMSD REMINDER:
-TOMORROW, Friday, March 8th is an EARLY DISMISSAL DAY. Glenview will dismiss at 10:55am, all elementary schools will dismiss at 11:30am.
-Spring Break is March 11th - 15th.
-School will resume on Monday, March 18th.

-The Glenview swim team competed against Moline Jr high last night.
Event winners were:
For the Boys 100 Medley Relay: Izaiah Burrage, Connor Adair, Spencer Curry and Shaemus Killian
For the 50 Fly: Connor Adair with a time of 40.05 setting an all time top 25 time for the Glenview swimmers
For the Boys 100 Free relay: Izaiah Burrage, Connor Adair, Myles Robertson and Shaemus Killian
Great Job swimmers in their 2024 season.
-UTHS is inviting 7th and 8th graders to their 1st Annual Spring Fling Volleyball Camp. This camp will run for 3 days on spring break. Stop by the front office for a flyer.
-Attention any 7th or 8th grade student that is interested in participating in track should have an updated school physical on file to participate. Practices will start after spring break.
-Join us for the staff vs student basketball game tonight starting at 3pm. Admission is $1 for students and $2 for adults. Students are welcome to stay after school to attend if they brought the cost of admission and can ride the activity bus home. Concessions will be open. Come cheer on our Gators in uniform one last time before they become Panthers.

-Latinx Workshop members helping set up for the HERstory event are to report to the library at the start of period 9 today. A list of names will be emailed to those teachers.
-All GMS staff are invited to attend the HERstory opening reception after school in the library today. A group picture will be taken at 2:45 to commemorate International Women's Day.

This event will take place Thursday March 7th starting at 3. Admission is $1 for students and $2 for adults. Students are welcome to stay after school to attend if they brought the cost of admission and can ride the activity bus home. Concessions will be open. Come cheer on our Gators in uniform one last time before they become Panthers.
