10-23-23 Announcements
-Art club will meet today. Meet in Miss Boyette’s room after the dismissal bell. Be ready to paint!
-Latinx Workshop will meet this Wednesday after school. 7th and 8th graders looking for a positive circle of hermandad which centers the Latina voice, culture, and history are welcome to join. Pick up an application in the office or speak with Mrs. Mojica.
-Hey, Latinx hermanas! Don't miss out on the LAST chance to order an 'Hermana Strong' T-shirt. Last day to order is this Tuesday at 11:59PM. Staff may use the QR code posted in the workroom. 100% of funds raised go towards the Dignity Project.
-Soccer club meets today. Please report to your coaches after the dismissal bell.
-Cheer practice is canceled today. Practice will start tomorrow.
-French Club will meet Thursday, October 26 from 2:30-4pm in Ms. Beers room, 337. All registered students have received an email notification from Mrs. Campbell.
-Yearbook team will meet this Thursday, October 26th in room 302 until 3:45. Please bring markers if you have them. We will make posters to advertise our upcoming yearbook sales.
-Boys basketball tryouts are this week. 8th grade will have theirs on Tuesday and Wednesday, 7th grade will be Tuesday and Thursday. Stop by the nurse's office to check the status of your physical before tryouts! See Coach Winders or Coach Vroman for more information.
-Drama Club will NOT meet this week on October 25th

10-20-23 Announcements
-The 7th grade finished their volleyball season with an exciting game last night!!
Ange La had 8 aces and 6 digs, Melia Kuffler had 4 aces, 2 assists, and 7 digs, and Adysen Mallum had 2 aces, 1 assist, and 3 digs. It was an awesome game played by all!!! Thank you ladies for a great season!
-8th Grade girls ended their season with a nail-biting win against Wilson last night. Sophia Crouse was stellar with 10 digs and 9 Kills, Sarah Peterson was electric with 6 aces, 3 assists, 8 digs, and 2 kills. Mya Lewis powered through her performance with 3 aces, 10 digs and 1 kill. Jillian Evans had 7 assists and 2 digs to add to the night. Eunice Logo made the gym shake with her 3 huge Blocks in the middle. Nice job ladies.
Thank you to everyone who supported our last game of the season and wore pink. We appreciate all the cheering and encouragement!

-The 7th grade girls volleyball team faced Jordan last night, winning 1 of 3 sets. Kierson Griffith led the way with 7 aces, 8 digs, and 2 assists. Trynity Davis also had many awesome hustle plays and added 7 digs, and Kayla Vroman added 2 aces and 2 digs. Next up is Wilson on Thursday at home! This is our last game, so we would love to see everyone there!!
-8th grade girls volleyball won their game vs Jordan last night. Jillian Evans led the way with a powerful performance of 5 aces, 4 assists, 6 digs and 1 kill. Sophia Crouse was stellar with 5 kills, 11 digs, and 3 aces. Carmen Lewis's defense was nonstop with 18 digs for the night. The last game of the season is Thursday vs Wilson, don't forget to wear your Pink!

-Today is the last day for 7h & 8th graders to turn in their application to be a part of One By One, the incredible academic program that prepares students for higher education. Signed applications should be turned into the library.Our October meeting takes place next Thursday after school.

-7th Grade football came home with a win last night. Shoutouts to Dereon McDaniel for 2 interceptions, a rushing, a receiving and a defensive touchdown. Gunner Speckman had a passing touchdown. Heath Sappington blew up the backfield all night. Roan Malone was on fire with a safety. Kevin Mwansa, Matthew Theuninck and Salim Samassa were dogs all night. Great job guys!
