-Registration forms are no longer being accepted for the following clubs: Art, Bracelets, Chef, Crochet, Cursive, French, Gamers, and Pure Sports. These clubs have reached their maximum number for both open slots and the waiting list. If you signed up for a club, your parent/guardian will receive an email by Sunday regarding your club's status. Please remind them to be on the lookout for an email from Mrs. Campbell.
-Do you love Mexican food, games and music? Come support the 6-8th Mariachi students during their first performance this school year on Sunday at 11:15 am at the St. Anthony's Kerms Carnival. See Mrs. Hill for more info.

-Congratulations to the 8th grade football team on a hard fought victory last night. Bear Boyton had a long touchdown run and Jayvon McDowell and Tyrian Walls each had 2 touchdowns in a 34-14 win over Geneseo.
-Tennis Club meets today after school. Please report to Room 111 after the dismissal bell.
-If you were in Robogators last year and would like to return, please see Mrs. Miller in Room 255 by the end of the day for a sign up sheet. Practice starts next week! See you soon!

We center the voice, culture, and history of Latinas and Latinx while empowering our members to give back to their community. All are welcome. We meet monthly and offer opportunities to better understand the high school and university system in the U.S. Applications may be picked up in student services, from Mrs. Newton in the library or from Mrs. Mojica in room 123. Deadline to apply is Friday!

8-31-23 Announcements
-Last night the Glenview cross country team competed in their first race of the year. The team ran in the Moline invite at Empire park. The team ran very well for their first meet.
Runners doing well were: Faith Huizar finished 14th in the girls top 7 race with a time of 15:40.
In the top 7 boys race Ayaad Ahmed, Zach El Majdoubi, and Jude Huber ran very well.
In the open race for the boys David Cobos ran a time of 16:42 to lead the boys. The Glenview girls won the open race. Congrats to them. Leading the way were: Mozdalifa Ali finished 9th with a time of 18:10. Lily Glaub finished 7th in a time of 17:56. The winner of the open girls race was Makela Anoumou in a time of 15:36. The coaches were very proud of all of the runners!!! The next meet is Wednesday September 6th in Geneseo.
-Today is the day! One By One will hold an informational meeting for 7th & 8th grade students interested in learning more about higher education. Stop by the library, 2:30-3:15. Speak with Mrs. Newton or Mrs. Mojica if you have questions.
