-Attention 5th and 6th grade students: if you are attending tonight’s dance, please go to the North Gym right after school.
-The admission for tonight’s dance is $3 for all grades. There will also be snacks for sale.
-The 8th grade Lady Gators put together an energized 4th quarter comeback, but needed another minute or 2 on the clock, to claim the win. The Ladys' are traveling to Washington on Thursday, Go Gators!

-Today’s Moment in Black History: John Lewis helped organize the 1963 March in Washington, D.C. Mr. Lewis created his legacy as a fierce civil rights activist and represented the State of Georgia in the House of Representatives for many years until his death in 2020. Mr. Lewis is known for encouraging people to get in "good trouble, necessary trouble," meaning go the extra mile to make people uncomfortable by standing up for equality for everyone.

2-20-24 Announcements

This event will take place Thursday, March 7th starting at 3. Admission is $1 for students and $2 for adults. Students are welcome to stay after school to attend if they brought the cost of admission and can ride the activity bus home. Concessions will be open. Come cheer on our Gators in uniform one last time before they become Panthers
-Builder’s Club is hosting a Valentine’s Day skate night at Skate City from 4 to 530pm.
-The next Builder’s Club meeting will be Thursday the 15th in the Health Room.

-Both lady gator teams played well last night, with the 7th grade finding scoring success in the 1st half, but Seton pulling away in the 2nd half. The 8th grade team scored 4 times as many points as their opponent in the second half, but came up a bit short! We have an away game at John Deere tonight, Go Gators!

-In honor of National School Counselor Week, here is our moment in Black History highlighting a famous African American in the field of Psychology. Francis Cecil Sumner is known as the “Father of Black Psychology.” In 1920, he became the first Black American to earn a Ph.D. in Psychology. In 1928, he helped found the psychology department at Howard University, a Historically Black College and University (HBCU). Dr. Sumner published several articles on his research throughout the years. He taught psychology at several universities.
