12-7-23 Announcements
-Yesterday was the last day for the soccer club. Thank you for a great fall session. We will see you in the spring.
-Chef Club is canceled for today, and Tuesday, December 12.
-Yearbook Club meets today in room 302.
-Pure Sports meets tomorrow after school in the north gym.
-Most clubs are already filled for the 2nd semester. If you have a club that you're interested in, please email Mrs. Campbell, or stop in the main office.
-Builder’s Club is having a fundraiser on Thursday December 14th at Culver’s in Silvis from 5 to 8pm. Come out and enjoy dinner while supporting Glenview!
-Please check your email before 11:00am today to see if you have been selected to participate in the author visit on Wednesday. All of the directions for the event are included in the email.
-Student council will be meeting on Dec 13 in room 258 at 2:30-4.
-Next week is Holiday Spirit Week at Glenview! Monday is Holiday Tshirt Day. Ask your teacher for a schedule of each day or stop by the front office.
Today is the last day of Soccer Club for the winter. Soccer Club will resume in the spring!

12-6-23 Announcements -Soccer Club meets today after school. Please report to your coaches after the dismissal bell. -The 7th grade boys came out with Energy last night, resulting in a 20 point lead at the end of the 1st quarter and a 30 point lead by halftime! (nice work gentlemen!) Our focus moving forward is to be a student of the game, by understanding what is happening in the game and where to be, so we can eliminate our Mental mistakes. -After school Mariachi is canceled today. -5th grade Mariachi students need to bring Chromebooks to class. -Yearbook Club meets after school Thursday until 3:45. We will be looking at school portraits for the yearbook. 12-5-23 Announcements
-Shoutout to the 8th grade team for winning a tight one 31-28 against Jordan. Shoutout to Mouhamed Diop for this terrific play. Tyler Flemming for his dominant presence, and Malal Sy for being a dog
-After a neck-and-neck 1st half, the 7th grade team pulled away, outscoring Jordan 39 to 12 in the 2nd half. They even capped off the Win with a crazy 3-point buzzer-beater to end the game! We have 2 more games this week, both of which are away from home, Let's keep working to get better, Go Gators!!!!

Glenview Middle School and East Moline School District 37 were well represented at Quad Cities Saxophone Christmas today, Saturday December 2nd at Northpark Mall in Davenport. 8th grader Yari, 7th grader Dalen and 6th grader Rodney were among the 91 musicians who performed an 80 minute program of challenging holiday secular and sacred music.

-The 7th grade boys team had a solid all around game last evening. Offensively they were knocking down 3's and Defensively they held their opponent to only 4 points in the 2nd half!! Great Job! Halfway through the season the team has record of 5 wins and 2 losses.

Not only will you get to hear the authors speak, but there will be a book give away at the end. If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Newton.
-Please excuse the 5th grade violinists today, Thursday at 1:30pm and have them bring ALL their "stuff" with them as they will be dismissed from the band room. These students will get to learn from a professional violinist from the Quad City Symphony Orchestra!
-Attention One By One members....it's not too late to join College BINGO!! Pick up a card in the library today. Games ends on Friday, December 8th.
-Latinx Workshop meets every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month. Our next meeting is December 13th. 7th and 8th graders looking for a positive circle of hermanas are invited to join! We center the Latina voice, history, and culture. Speak with Mrs. Mojica for more details.

-Attention all 6th through 8th grade violins: on Thursday be ready to play by 2:35pm for your sectional with the professional violinist.
-Last evening the 7th grade boys performed well as a team, winning by nearly 40 points against Edison. All 10 players recorded a positive Statistic!!! Amazing teamwork Gentlemen!! We have a road game on Thursday and the team hopes to see even better ball movement and even better defensive rotations moving forward!!! Go Gators!!
