-Lights On For Learning Scholar Academy will NOT meet today.
REMINDER:
• Tomorrow, Tuesday, November 21st is an early dismissal day. Glenview will dismiss at 10:55 am, elementary schools will dismiss at 11:30 am.
• November 22-26 is Thanksgiving Break.
• School resumes on Monday, November 27th.

11-17-23 Announcements
-The 7th grade boys played well against a physical Washington team. Although the game ended in a loss, the team learned that we can handle pressure defense and we must control the tempo of the game!
-One By One college BINGO kicks off next week! Which staff member attended a private college? Who balanced work and studying? You'll soon find out! Members who need to pick up a card may do so in the library.
-Latinx Workshop invites all their members to Saturday's event in the school library. Snacks, a selfie station, door prizes, a positive circle of area Latina leaders.... we'll have it all!! Drop off and pick up will be at the back doors of our school. Speak with Mrs. Mojica if you have any questions.
-Anyone interested in signing up for Glenview wrestling should sign up today at lunch or Monday. Practice will start on the 27th in the East Gym. You must have a current physical on file to participate.

-One By One meets today after school in the library. We're talking state and private universities, Ivy League, HBCUs and HSIs! Members who attend will also receive a College BINGO playing card for a chance to win prizes. Don't miss out.
-Snacks? Door prizes? Selfie station? It's all part of the Latinx Workshop on Saturday! Share space with area Latina leaders while we view and discuss the last half of our movie. Invitations with details were delivered this week. Speak with Mrs. Mojica if you have any questions.
-Builder’s Club meets today in Room 149. Please bring your pizza fundraiser forms.

-The 7th grade boys Lost a tough matchup to Wilson last night, 32 to 27. They rebounded well, considering the height of the Wilsons' Front Court!
-8th grade boys basketball won 45 to 33. Shoutout to the team for handling adversity on a tough road game. Shoutout to Jaybon for being a dog and Jeremiah for icing the game in the clutch. Great job guys!

11-14-23 Announcements
-The 7th Grade Boys won against John Deere, last night, 45 to 21. Our Leading Rebounder recorded 10 boards, Leading Scorer had 20, and Assist Leader had 5 dimes. One thing the boys need to clean-up tonight in our away game against Wilson would be our personal fouls, we committed 19 personal fouls against John Deere, to get quality wins we need to play more controlled defense!
-The 8th grade boys basketball team also had a great win! Shoutout to Bear Boynton for keeping a level head, Monsif for playing positive and Tyler Flemming for being a dog! Great job guys.
-Hey One By One do you know the difference between Ivy League, Big 10, and HBCU schools? Stop on Thursday after school to find out!

The East Moline Library has a fun painting program coming up at the library for kids in grades 4-8. Spots are limited but this is a free program. All supplies will be provided. Kids will have the chance to do glow painting on a canvas.
